About Me

I am a self-taught artist. Throughout my life, I have taken classes, experimented on my own, and shared my fervent interest in and appreciation of art with friends and family. It has always been my desire to share on a wider scale and I am so grateful to have finally achieved my goal.

About a decade ago, I was fortunate to come under the mentorship of a dear friend who also happens to be an internationally recognized artist. Through her practiced eye, experience, enthusiasm, and patience, she guided me to a place of confidence and skill. Sharing one’s art is exciting and daunting, It is something that is irresistible because it’s sharing something you love, but it also creates a situation that renders you vulnerable. It’s all worth it. I can’t think of anything more fulfilling.

I am inspired by long-harbored memories, the passage of time, the patterns and cycles of nature the effect of the elements in the material world, and architecture.

In an effort to express myself through the creative process, I use found objects, wood, glass, metal, ephemera, branches, dried flowers stone, and whatever I can find to create texture. These objects in concert with more traditional media of acrylic, watercolor, ink, paper, and pastels enable me to make the stories I so enjoy sharing.
